With the exception of the big one, Avengers Endgame has almost no fight scenes. That’s because the core of the drama is the character’s internal struggles. Almost every Avenger starts out lacking in confidence and self-esteem, then they must go on their own journeys to reclaim those things.
In this video, we will look at 5 key mindsets that raise your self-esteem and confidence, as shown through each character’s journey.

⏰TIMESTAMPS⏰
0:42 - Mindset #1: Failure does not make you unworthy of happiness or love.
3:06 - Mindset #2: Offer yourself as much compassion as you would a dear friend.
4:42 - Mindset #3: Don’t deny responsibility for what you do now.
6:33 - Mindset #4: You need to learn a healthy, enlightened selfishness.
8:22 - Mindset #5: No matter what, you will be okay.

  • I like the zoomed in idea - though this is often a result of anxiety rather than a cause of it - to focus on immediate threats - but a corrective measure - to rationally apply long term decision making and big picture thinking - can indeed help I believe Jeff Bezos highlighted "not sweating the small stuff" as one of the most important ingredients to success. What he likely doesn't understand is how that can be a product of anxiety and the ways in which anxiety can help short term performance but hinder meaningful progress - whilst it can create energy, it can create short term bias, perfectionism, and other harmful ways of thinking and functioning. There is likely more involved for why some people feel anxious and I think it's also worth understanding, managing and eventually overcoming that emotion too

  • Lots of people are complaining in the comments about why he has chosen this movie to teach these lessons.I guess the movie being a global success and these days lots of people are crazy behind superheroes is the reason it is chosen. It may help to reach more audience and teenagers these days really need to learn these lessons from the movies that apart from the powers and appearance it is mentality that matters the most. It is completely my opinion from my social media encounters and I am not at all generalizing or implying that all teens are like that but found majority of people took this movie in a wrong way and some of the reasons were indeed true but again majority were on appearance of Thor and decision of Steve going back. This video addressed the positive thing that can be learnt from issues I stated above.

  • When Tony and Howard are having the dad chat and Howard says the "my old man never saw a problem he couldnt solve with a belt" you realize that he actually did his best to be Tonys father, in the end to be the best father you can be first you have to avoid your fathers mistakes and youll probably be in a good road

  • So what we are trying to address are distorted beliefs largely learned in childhood. The goal here is to modify your own self-image (self-esteem) to one that better reflects your true accomplishments and positive personality traits. I would restate as: #1 - Everyone makes mistakes; this doesn't give control of their lives to others. #2 - I am my own judge. #3 - I am responsible for my own actions. #4 - I don't know everything, and I don't have to. #5 - No one can hurt me without my permission. The above is taken from a base premise of communicating Assertively, in that you must reconcile your own self-worth before learning how conversation affects your audience.

  • What you call "enlightened selfishness" is what I've always considered to be the difference between self-centered and selfish. With self-centered just meaning that you view your world first and foremost from your place in it, hence centered, whereas selfish is completely disregarding other people entirely.

  • To me being selfish in a healthy way meant standing up to my emotionally abusive mother who kept using various inconsistent morals to shame me for not doing things exactly her way, even when it didn't make any sense. Thanks to Charisma University I finally saw she was bullying me and the rest of the family into submission as a control freak because she herself lacks basic self-confidence and therefore needs almost everything her way or she throws a tantrum. Now I have the confidence to say "NO" and stick to it and I feel so much better and more confident!

  • The lesson on "Everything is going to be ok" is actually something Ive been integrating into my own life to help with my anger issues. The question to ask yourself of "How will this situation matter 5 years from now?" has helped a ton with keeping myself controlled where I can make a calm, logical decision on a dilemma.

  • Hello, thank you for the very interesting content : my question (both for this video AND for the one about buidling self confidence) are your messages directed equaly to men and women ? Don't confident and strong women inspire insecurity and even fear to other people ? thank you (I come from a very conservative background and currently working in a men dominated field, and I can't count how many times I heard : 'a woman cannot be both beautifull and smart' , 'A women is not excpected to stand out for herself' etc ...)

    M BM BÅr siden
    • Women can be beautiful and smart. It's old conditioning of society that says otherwise which is on the change. A confident and strong women can only inspire insecurity and fear if the other person is insecure already. Perhaps they just haven't met many confident women so like any new situation are somewhat wary. Just be yourself and let others just be their-selves is simple authentic confidence advice I remember🙂

  • And the all mighty soul stone that dastardly bastard the one plot hole Marvel and the Russo brothers try as they may try as they might they will never fill that plot hole that was caused when black widow and Clint were arguing over who got to sacrifice themselves to get tbs other one the soul stone and we all know black widow jumped to her death leaving Clint to wake up with it in his hand which is impossible because if anyone would remember what Red Scull said had to be done to get the stone he said that the person seaking the stone must give up the one thing that you love most to get it meaning you have to kill the one you love most love Widow suicide wasn't what Hawk Eye loved most and she clearly loved hawk eye more than herself so her death would not have worked per Red Skull and clearly he should.

  • The way i came to the idea of 'everything will be okay' was after the series of worst days ive ever had, months of terrible things after terrible thing culminating to the worst day of my life. I got better and i chose this mindset; "What is the truly worst thing that could happen? You could die. By your own hand, or that of another or of circumstance. I choose to not die. And if I wont kill myself, then I can only move forward. If death if the worst thing that can happen, and I do not choose death, then i choose the other option- to live. If you live things can only get better." I hope that helps someone else.
